The Zen Collection
I love slowing things down and shooting using slow shutter speeds. I will continue adding to this section as I get out and about more!
These images were taken on one of those chance moments. It was a winter morning and I had just dropped my son off at nursery. The mist was hanging over the valley in Dartmouth and I grabbed the opportunity to get a few shots before I had to be elsewhere. Lucky I had my camera in the boot of the car!
This photo shoot was taken to mark my sister completing her first ever Ironman event. The bike shots are still to come so watch this space…
This collaborative project with ballerina Lydia Brayshaw was shot down at Mattiscombe beach in Devon. The images really show Lydia’s strength and determination, not only in her body but mind too. Using just the natural light the setting played a pivotal role in the overall effect.
The first collaborative shoot with ballet dancer Lydia Brayshaw. The wild setting of Dartmoor in Devon teamed against the her flawless and perfectly formed body juxtapose each other adding an interesting element to the images.
These images were taken for a photographer’s location guide Claire wrote for a magazine feature. They remind me how much I love the wild and unpredictable setting that is Dartmoor.
The Seaweed Series
I love using Photoshop and photography to create surreal results. I had the idea to photograph seaweed and then turn the images into these planet like balls. Still an ongoing idea that has potential to be expanded.
The Dead collection
I love collecting things from old hair to skulls and bones (as you can see!). These images are about life that is no longer life but has become another form.
The Paper Project
A study of paper, light and dark.
We all have a superhero in us. My aim is to build this project with more sitters, and bring out their superhero!
Babies and children
Being a mother of two has taught me a lot when it comes to capturing these little bundles of joy. I prefer not to stage my images of children or babies but let them be themselves in a comfortable environment. I love it when they have food over their faces and dirt on their clothes! if you would like to book a photography session with me for your own child or to find our more email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
At the end of 2013 I was lucky enough to travel to India and work with the most amazing children. These are a few of the images that tell my story of my trip.
I spent three weeks in Ecuador living with a friend’s family and experiencing their culture. These are a few of the images from my experience.
